Recently, Son Tung M-TP posted a video revealing his upcoming music project – There’s No One At All. Not only revealing the melody of the new song, the video also gives us a look at Son Tung M-TP’s studio and the technological equipment he uses to compose.
The most prominent and occupying half the frame is the PC screen with the wallpaper being the image of the song. It is not difficult to see that the monitor that Son Tung M-TP is using comes from the Dell brand, but the specific model is not disclosed. By observing the size and style, we determine that this is the UltraSharp U4320Q model. So, what makes this monitor stand out from other products?
Right from the most basic parameter is the size, UltraSharp U4320Q is very special. Because, this is a rare screen model on the market with a size of up to 42.5 inches, which is on par with a TV. The large size is especially convenient for professional users like Son Tung M-TP with complex music projects. Dell is one of the few manufacturers that are offering monitors in such a large size.
Of course, we can completely use the TV as a PC monitor, but in reality they are still two completely different categories. PC monitors are meant to be used at close range, while TVs are meant to be used at a distance. Therefore, to be able to work continuously for a long time, a PC monitor is still the optimal choice. In fact, Dell advertises that the U4320Q has built-in flicker-free technology to protect eyes.
Another advantage of PC monitors, in particular the U4320Q is that it can accept 4 different visual inputs, equivalent to 4 PCs. The user can then tile the thumbnails (picture-in-picture) of all four PCs at once. In other words, 1 U4320Q can “weigh” 4 PCs at the same time. This feature is advertised by Dell as suitable for stock or cryptocurrency players with the need to “check the chart” constantly, and probably won’t be really useful to someone like Son Tung M-TP. But obviously, there are not many monitors on the market that can do that.
UltraSharp U4320Q has 4K resolution. Despite the name “UltraSharp”, when combining the 4K resolution with the huge 43-inch size, things still won’t be as sharp as other 4K monitors on the market, which often fluctuate in the range of 27-32 inches. However, with a pixel density of about 102ppi, the U4320Q still gives the same sharpness as 27-inch 2K screens, which is completely acceptable.
In addition, the U4320Q also inherits “genes” from Dell’s other UltraSharp monitors, including flexible position control. Dell says this is the first 42.5-inch monitor with adjustable height. However, with its huge size, users will not be able to rotate the U4320Q vertically like other UltraSharp models. The U4320Q also stands out for its relatively accurate color reproduction, with sRGB color gamut coverage at 96%.
The Dell UltraSharp U4320Q costs almost twice as much as other 27-inch 4K monitors in its class. Obviously, the U4320Q is not cheap, but it is an extremely valuable product for certain users with specific requirements – for example Son Tung M-TP.
