Lego announced to delay the release date of the Lego set called Titan set in Overwatch 2, while reviewing the relationship between the giant toy brand and the corporation that develops and publishes the game Activision Blizzard.
In mid-December last year, Lego announced a new assembly, and set a release date of February 1, 2022. According to the company’s latest statement, the project has been delayed indefinitely. Lego is currently re-evaluating Activision Blizzard’s position after seeing its partner in crisis.
In a statement to Brick Fanatics, a Lego spokesperson confirmed the information, saying:We are reviewing the project in cooperation with Activision Blizzard, in light of concerns related to the company’s innovation process in an attempt to answer accusations about workplace culture, particularly its treatment of female employees, creating a workplace environment open and diverse. Pending the conclusion, we will postpone the launch of the Lego Overwatch 2 product, which has an expected release date of February 1, 2022.“.
Accusations from internal employees of Activision Blizzard have repeatedly appeared in newspapers over the past year. Many people were surprised when Lego decided to “turn the car” at the last minute. Lego also surprised when it announced a promotional kit for the game that will not be released this year.
Both Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV are delayed to 2023, while Activision Blizzard handles the crisis.
