As you know, Netflix has content mainly movies and TV shows, they have content spread for many ages. So, if you’re not paying attention, it’s possible that the content your kids consume won’t be appropriate for their age. So is there a way to prevent this?

Fortunately, Netflix itself has a built-in Parental Control feature that helps users control video content and programs appropriate for a certain age. And if you’re interested, here’s how to enable this feature.
How to enable parental controls for a Netflix account

First, go to the Netflix page, log in to your account and click “Manage Profiles” and click “Add Profile”.

The input summary information about the new profile appears.

Please enter a name and check the box “Children”.

Once done, the newly created profile will appear on the Manage Profiles page. Now click on the pen icon to further adjust the profile for this new account.

To proceed with setting up an age-appropriate content filter for your child, click “Edit” in the Age Settings section.

Netflix will ask you to enter your account password to confirm the operation.

Now choose the right age for your child. Then press “Save”.

Once you’re done with the setup, go back to your account settings page and tap “Lock Profile”.

Set up a PIN for the account to prevent children from changing the settings on their own.

Don’t forget to set up a PIN for your account as well.

Now the Netflix content will be controlled and displayed according to the age you choose for the young account.
