FPT Digital Retail Joint Stock Company (FPT Retail, FRT) has just had business results in the first quarter of 2022 with revenue of VND 7,786 billion, up 67% over the same period in 2021, completing 29% of the whole year plan.
In which, Long Chau chain’s revenue reached VND 2,159 billion, up 3.7 times over the same period last year. The laptop industry recorded a revenue of VND 1,407 billion, up 74%.
Deducting expenses, FRT recorded a consolidated pre-tax profit of VND 204 billion, 5.3 times higher than Q1 of 2021, completing 28% of the 2022 profit target.
In addition, online revenue in the period also increased by 60% to VND 1,475 billion, accounting for 19% of the total consolidated revenue in the first quarter.
As of March 31, 2022, FRT has a total of 676 FPT Shop stores, an increase of 29 stores compared to the beginning of the year. As of March 31, 2022, the Long Chau chain had 546 pharmacies, opening 146 new pharmacies compared to the beginning of 2022.
Some notable activities of FPT Shop during the period include: continuing to open 87 new laptop centers, bringing the total number of laptop centers to 157 covering 63 provinces and cities across the country.
In particular, the Company is also the first unit to sign a contract to distribute one million Covid-19 pills, just a few hours after the Ministry of Health licensed 3 drugs containing the compound molnupiravir. A week later, the Long Chau pharmacy chain officially sold Covid-19 drugs on February 23.
Entering the second quarter of 2022, the company said it will continue to open new laptop centers across the country, perfecting and improving services to bring customers the best shopping experience.
