On May 17, ASUS introduced a new pair of gaming laptops at the For Those Who Dare: Boundless online event, including ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE, ROG Flow X16.
ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition
ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition features the latest hardware and premium cooling solutions. A custom vapor chamber cooling system, combined with the exclusive Liquid Metal Thermal Adhesive applied to both the CPU and GPU, delivers powerful performance to ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE.
With an Intel Core i9-12950HX CPU with a maximum TDP of up to 65W and a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics GPU with a maximum TGP of up to 175W thanks to Dynamic Boost technology, ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE is capable of handling any heavy duty and smoothly play current popular AAA games.
ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE is equipped with an FHD screen with a 360Hz refresh rate or an optional QHD version with a 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response speed. The machine is equipped with DDR5 4800MHz RAM with capacity up to 64GB and PCIe Gen 4 SSD running high-speed RAID 0.
In terms of design, ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE impresses with its mysterious invisible ink coating, only showing green and blue colors under UV light, with SCAR Runner motifs.
ROG Flow X16
The ROG Flow X16 series of 16-inch convertible and lightweight gaming laptops are equipped with AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU, and support the XG Mobile external GPU, even though it’s only 2.1 kg light.
In addition, ROG Flow X16 also meets the ROG Nebula HDR screen standard with a QHD resolution of 165Hz refresh rate, using a Mini LED panel with a brightness of up to 1100 nits and 100% DCI-P3 color standard.
