Design remains unchanged from the old generation
The new iPhone SE has a completely unchanged design compared to the previous iPhone SE generation. The device still has a “nostalgic” design like iPhone 6/7/8 with thick screen borders, Home button cum Touch ID fingerprint sensor and glass back with three color versions: Black (Midnight), Silver ( Starlight) and Red (Red). However, Apple says the glass of the iPhone SE is more durable, equivalent to the iPhone 13.
Similar in design, the screen of the new iPhone SE is also identical with the size of 4.7 inches and LCD technology. Contrary to some rumors, the iPhone SE has only a single screen size and no large screen version (Plus).
Chip A15 Bionic like iPhone 13 “
The new iPhone SE is equipped with the same A15 Bionic chip as on the high-end iPhone 13 series. With 6 CPU cores and 4 GPU cores, Apple says that the A15 Bionic on the new iPhone SE is 1.8 times faster than the iPhone 8. In addition, the A15 Bionic also brings some machine learning application features such as handwriting recognition from English. (Live Text) or support for computer photography (Smart HDR, Deep Fusion, photography to remove fonts …)
5G network support
Inheriting from higher-end iPhones, 5G network technology is now available on the low-cost iPhone SE.
Better battery life
Although integrated with the more powerful A15 Bionic chip and supports 5G network technology, Apple claims that the new iPhone SE has better battery life than the old generation. Currently, the detailed improvement has not been announced by Apple.
Price and time of sale
The new iPhone SE starts at $429, which is $30 more than the price of the old iPhone SE generation. The device has three versions of internal memory, 64, 128 and 256GB. The new iPhone SE will be officially on sale on March 18.
