According to a source from 9to5Mac, Apple is said to be developing a new Mac model called “Mac Studio”. The machine is described as a hybrid between a Mac Pro and a Mac mini.
Specifically, this Mac Studio will be developed based on the Mac mini, with a much more compact design than the Mac Pro but equipped with an extremely powerful hardware. Also according to 9to5Mac, Apple will develop two versions of Mac Studio, one equipped with the M1 Max chip for powerful performance on par with the newly launched 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro lines, and one version will be equipped with the chip is even more powerful than the M1 Max.
Earlier, leaker Mark Gurman, who specializes in accurate leaks about future Apple products, said that there will be a new version of the Mac Pro introduced but with a smaller design, sold with the Apple iPhone. The Mac Pro is large in size. This may refer to the smaller version of the Mac Pro, which is the Mac Studio mentioned above.
Gurman said that despite its compact size, the internal hardware of the new Mac Pro can be equipped with up to 40 CPU cores and 128 GPU cores.
Mac Studio was known internally as J375. Although the official name has not been confirmed, 9to5Mac said that this Mac is intended to be sold by Apple with the “Apple Studio Display” screen with 7K resolution. And of course, this product combo will be directed by Apple to professional users, not ordinary users.
There is currently no information on the official launch date of this Mac Studio.
