In a recent report on Apple’s continued expansion of production lines out of China, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said he expects AirPods Pro 2 to be manufactured in Vietnam and retain the Lightning port. .
While Ming-Chi Kuo has previously said that Apple will switch to USB-C for charging accessories as well as iPhones in the future, he predicts this change will not apply to the AirPods Pro 2 generation.
Kuo cited part of the WSJ article and said he believes a move to boost production outside of China is possible for AirPods Pro 2, because the supply chain for this headset is relatively uncomplicated, plus Vietnam. Male yes “better infrastructure and workforce”he said.
