“We got about 3,000 students from more than 100 Alaska communities and many of those students are not in urban areas like Anchorage or Mat-Su. They’re off the road system,” said regional director Michael Ulroan. “When they’re off the road system there’s limited opportunities in terms of higher education and professional opportunities.”
