In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, “out of an abundance of caution” has become a way of life. Starbucks put the kibosh on personal and “for here” cups, SXSW has been canceled, and food delivery companies are now offering a “no contact” option.
But what seems to have really set people off is the news this week that wholesale retailer Costco will no longer give out its wildly popular, free samples. Unsurprisingly, the internet is not taking the news well, with reactions ranging from staggering disappointment to downright panic.
