1.1. Knowledge to remember
The gram is a unit of measurement for mass.
Gram is abbreviated as g.
1000g = 1kg
In addition to the 1kg, 2kg and 5kg weights, there are also weights:
1g, 2g, 5g
10g, 20g, 50g
100g, 200, 500g.
1.2. Solving Textbook Exercises
- Read or calculate the total mass of the weights of the left pan.
- The mass of the object in the right pan is equal to the result just found.
a) The sugar box weighs 200g.
b) 3 apples weigh in grams: 500+200 = 700g.
c) The package of main noodles weighing in grams is: 200+100 = 300g.
d) The pear weight in grams is: 200+200 = 400.
Observe what number the hand of the scale is pointing to and then answer the question of the problem.
a) The papaya fruit weighs 800g.
b) Cabbage weighs 600g.
Lesson 3: Calculate (according to form)
Model: 22g+47g = 69g
a) 163g+28g = b) 50g×2 =
42g–25g = 96g : 3 =
- Perform calculations with numbers.
- Write the units of grams after the result you just found.
a) 163g+28g = 191g b) 50g×2 = 100g
42g–25g = 17g 96g : 3 = 32g
100g+45g–26g = 119g.
Lesson 4: The whole milk box weighs 455g455g, the box weighs 58g58g. How many grams of milk are in the box?
Whole box: 455g
In the box : … g milk ?
To find the solution, we subtract the mass of the whole box from the weight of the milk carton.
The number of grams of milk in the box is:
455–58 = 397(g)
Answer: 397 g.
Lesson 5: Each bag of MSG weighs 210g. How many grams do 4 bags of MSG like that weigh?
1 bag : 210g
4 bags : ….g ?
To find the solution we multiply the mass of a bag by 4.
All 4 packages of MSG weighing in grams are:
210×4 = 840g
Answer: 840 g.
