Numbers 101 to 110

### 1.1. Knowledge to remember

– Order of numbers from 101 to 110

– How to read and write those numbers; compare the values of numbers

### 1.2. Math forms

**Type 1: Read and write numbers**

– Read numbers in the order of rows from left to right: A three-digit number where the tens digit is zero, we read tens as “ling”.

– From reading numbers, I write the digits corresponding to the rows and then write numbers.

**Form 2: Comparison of round numbers**

Numbers with fewer digits have a smaller value.

– Numbers with the same number of digits compare rows from left to right.

**Form 3: Order of numbers from 101 to 110.**

– Remember the order of numbers in the range from 101 to 110 is:

101; 102; 103; 104; 105; 106; 107; 108; 109; 110

### 1.3. Solving Textbook Exercises

**Lesson 1**

Which reading does each number below represent?

a) One hundred and seven.

b) One hundred and nine.

c) One hundred and eight.

d) One hundred and two.

e) One hundred and five.

g) One hundred and three.

__Solution method__

Read the given number from hundreds to units in turn.

__Solution guide__

The number 102 corresponds to the reading d.

The number 109 corresponds to the reading b.

The number 105 corresponds to reading e.

The number 108 corresponds to the reading c.

The number 103 corresponds to the reading g.

Number 107 corresponds to reading a.

**Lesson 2**

Number?

__Solution method__

Count the numbers forward in a row, starting from 102 and then fill in the blanks with the appropriate number.

__Solution guide__

**lesson 3**

Enter the sign >; <= fits in the dot:

101…102 106…109

102…102 103…101

105…104 105…105

109…108 109…110

__Solution method__

Compare pairs of digits in the same row in order from left to right.

__Solution guide__

101 < 102 106 < 109

102 = 102 103 > 101

105 > 104 105 = 105

109 > 108 109 < 110

**Lesson 4**

a) Write the numbers 106, 108, 103, 105, 107 in order from smallest to largest.

b) Write the numbers 100, 106, 107, 105, 110, 103 in order from largest to smallest.

__Solution method__
