NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – On Saturday night The Berkeley Heights Education Foundation (BHEF) hosted their first Adult Game Night fundraiser at The Paca Club in New Providence. The night, emceed by guest host Cathy Balsamo, was full of laughs and fierce competition.
Carla McGlynn, BHEF’s Corresponding Secretary, opened the event by greeting and thanking the audience, “BHEF could not do what we do without the support of families and the businesses that are in town. We are really, really happy that we can put together an event like this and give you a distraction from the negativity that surrounds us by providing something so positive”.
BHEF’s Adult Game Night, modeled after the popular television game show Family Feud, challenged 13 teams to four rounds of naming the most popular responses to survey questions. The fundraiser attracted local parents, business owners, members of The Berkeley Heights Board of Education, Councilman Stephen Yellin and even Berkeley Heights School District’s new Superintendent, Dr. Melissa Varley.
