The Aragon Ballroom in Uptown is getting a new name after owner Live Nation sold naming rights to Chicago-based Byline Bank.
The theater and music venue will be renamed Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom, Live Nation said.
“Byline Bank is committed to building relationships within the community, which is why we felt they are such a natural partner for this historic venue,” Live Nation President Jason Wright said in a statement.
The Aragon Ballroom was built in 1926; its facade was designated a historic landmark in 2016. Performers there have included the Rolling Stones, Green Day and Metallica, according to the Sun-Times.
Byline will add its name to the theater’s recently refurbished marquee sign, according to Block Club Chicago.
